How to send SMS from Google Spreadsheets SMS is the most powerful marketing medium in the world. And it's very costly as well. To send less than one KB of data you have to spend nearly double the amount that you spend in any other type of advertising channels. Hence effective delivery and tracking of your SMS and subjects are very necessary.

We are giving you tools that will enable your SMS marketing to the next level. Let's dive in.
There are three ways that you can send SMS to a set of phone numbers.
  • Same SMS to all phone numbers in the list
  • Same SMS, but with variables to all phone numbers in the list
  • Different SMS to each phone number in the list
We use three different strategies to send these three types of SMS. We do all these operations from the add-on sidebar.
Sending the same SMS to a list of users
To send the same SMS to a list of phone numbers,
  1. List all your numbers in column A
  2. Add a message to the sidebar
  3. Click on send

Sending SMS with variables
To send the same SMS but with variables,
  1. List all your numbers in column A
  2. Add a message to the sidebar with variables enclosed in {{double_brackets}}
  3. Add variables to the spreadsheet
  4. Click on send

Send different SMS
To send different SMS to each number.
  1. List all your numbers in column A
  2. Add a message to your spreadsheet. Keep heading of the column as 'message'
  3. Click on send

Now let's see how to get the delivery reports.
To get the delivery report just write "=deliveryreport('phone number or cell-address', 'message_id or cell-address')"
